Protecting the Philippine eagles and wildlife of Arakan from accidental electrocution 🦅👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

Dr. Toru Yamazaki, Founder and President of the Asian Raptor Research and Conservation Network (ARRCN), also with a few of their Japanese members, joined us in the 2nd inaugural installation of the insulated powerlines at Sitio Paraiso, Brgy. Salasang, Arakan, South Cotabato. The initial batch of powerlines insulated is in Sitio Bagtok, Barangay Tumanding.


During the inauguration, we also unveiled the metal marker that gives acknowledges all the partners who helped make history by supporting this project.


We are proud to be part of the very first Powerline Insulation Project in the Philippines funded by SUNTORY, Inc., through the ARRCN, and in partnership with Cotabato Electric Cooperative, DENR 12, Municipality of Arakan, Manuvun Tinonanon, Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology, and Mount Apo Foundation, Inc. We also thank Raptorwatch Network Philippines, Arakan LGU -Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, and the Matalam DENR City Environment and Natural Resources Office for attending the inauguration.
