CAMPAIGNS
RESEARCH AND CONSERVATION
Our Research and Conservation team is organized to operate in three areas: eagle research, forest restoration and protection, and culture-based programs to achieve not only the species’ survival in the wild but also a healthy forest that communities will benefit from.

CONSERVATION BREEDING
We operate the Philippine Eagle Center, and the National Bird Breeding Sanctuary, the only Philippine Eagle breeding and rehabilitation facilities in the world. These 2 facilities are being maximized by employing breeding methods such as natural pairing and cooperative artificial insemination to augment wild Philippine Eagle population.
EDUCATION AND FUNDRAISING
To inspire every Filipino to join this important cause, we educate and raise awareness about the Philippine Eagle and its plight by providing avenues for learning through developing enjoyable and enriching materials and activities based data from our research. It takes a country to save a species, so our fundraising team constantly embarks on campaigns to gather more individuals and organizations to support our cause.

CULTURE-BASED CONSERVATION
The Philippine Eagle Foundation champions Culture-Based Conservation, recognizing that the survival of the Philippine Eagle is deeply intertwined with the traditions and stewardship of indigenous communities. By collaborating with Lumad and other forest-dependent peoples, PEF integrates ancestral knowledge—such as sacred grove protection and wildlife taboos—with modern conservation strategies. Initiatives like the "Bantay Bukid" program train indigenous partners to monitor nests, report threats, and lead reforestation, fostering a sense of shared responsibility. This approach not only safeguards biodiversity but also strengthens cultural identity, proving that the eagle’s future depends on honoring the past.
REFORESTATION
The Philippine Eagle Foundation’s Reforestation Program combats habitat loss by restoring degraded forests across critical watersheds and eagle territories, with an ambitious goal of planting Three Million Native Trees. This large-scale initiative focuses on biodiversity-rich areas, prioritizing endemic species like narra, lauan, and dipterocarps to rebuild ecosystems that support not only Philippine Eagles but also countless other wildlife. Through partnerships with local communities, schools, and corporations, PEF empowers planting efforts while promoting sustainable land use. The campaign goes beyond mere tree-planting—it includes long-term monitoring, invasive species control, and carbon sequestration studies, ensuring every seedling grows into a thriving forest. By linking reforestation to eagle survival, clean water access, and climate resilience, this program plants hope for both nature and people.
