ANIMAL KEEPER

AREA OF ASSIGNMENT

Philippine Eagle Center located at Malagos, Baguio District, Davao City

JOB SUMMARY

You will be responsible for the general care and welfare of the assigned breeding and /or exhibit animals at the Philippine Eagle Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Diligently keep feeding records of the animals

 

Closely observe assigned animals with regard to general appearance, feeding habits, condition of fecal matter, etc. and report abnormal conditions to superiors

​

Clean exhibit areas, pools, animal sleeping areas, and service areas; cleans and disinfects utensils, work tools, and containers

​

Maintain health and behavior records on assigned animals

​

Answer questions from the public concerning exhibit animals

​

Assist medical staff in treating animals

​

Perform minor or routine maintenance on exhibit enclosures and reports the need for major maintenance and repairs;

​

Ensure compliance with the biosafety protocols of the PEC

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Graduate of Biology, Animal Husbandry or any related courses

 

Hardworking

​

Have knowledge on animal behavior

​

Able to write or speak articulately, with good command of English and Filipino

​

Loves animals

​

Computer literate 

​

Physically fit

​

Willing to do manual work

​

A team player

​

Can work under pressure

​
